
Russell Armstrong
Russell Armstrong was a venture capitalist and reality TV personality best known for appearing alongside his then-wife, Taylor Armstrong, on Bravo’s The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. Armstrong spent his childhood in Dallas, where he attended Richardson High School. He went on to graduate from the University of Hawaiʻi.
Russell built a career in finance and venture capital, with business interests that included investments in startups and other companies. His public profile grew after The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills premiered in 2010, where he appeared as part of Taylor’s storyline. He went on to build a public presence as a member of the RHOBH cast, often appearing alongside his then-wife at high profile events.
Russell was married to Barbara Frederickson from 1997 until their divorce in 2004. They shared a son, Aiden (born in 1998). He was also engaged to Milette Fields, with whom he had a son, Griffin (born in 2000). He later married Taylor Armstrong in 2005 and they welcomed daughter Kennedy the following year. The couple separated in 2011, shortly before his death.
Russell died on August 15, 2011, from suicide.
