T.R. Knight

Starring as the lovable Dr. George O’Malley on ABC’s Grey’s Anatomy, T.R. Knight quickly earned A-list status as part of TV’s most successful medical drama since ER.
Born in 1973 in Minnesota, Knight made his acting debut under the bright lights of Broadway, most notably playing opposite Patti LuPone in 2001’s Noises Off. However, he is best known for his cute-and-sweet role on Grey’s–a role that earned him a 2007 Primetime Emmy nomination for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series. In June 2009, Knight officially parted ways with Grey’s Anatomy after nearly a year of speculation that he and costar Katherine Heigl would be leaving the primetime drama.
Knight announced he is gay in 2006.
