As the look-alike daughter of legendary pop star Madonna and Cuban dancer and trainer Carlos Leon, Lourdes learned plenty about health and fitness from a young age — and now puts in the hard work needed to get results. “[Lourdes is] very much into the healthy lifestyle,” her father told Hello in 2016. “She takes dance classes. She’s very healthy.”

As for the diet advice Carlos, who cofounded NYC’s Belleon Body Gym in 2017, gives his daughter, he admitted it’s simple but crucial: “More greens! Everyone should have at least a salad a day,” he told Hello, adding, “I’m not just talking about leaves. I’m talking about broccoli, peas, cauliflower, real vegetables and raw vegetables.”

In 2017, Carlos — who also has a son, now 3 — talked about healthy parenting to Best Self Magazine. “My kids now know that they don’t go to daddy’s house and eat junk food. There’s no sugar in my house. No Doritos, no GMO, none of that, you know, fake food, I call it,” the clean-living 52-year-old said in the video interview, adding that his toddler son was a vegetarian. “I kind of guide them at an early age.”

Carlos admitted that Lourdes, a.k.a., Lola, who was a student at the University of Michigan at the time of the interview, was testing her limits. “Though my daughter now… she’s in college, she does eat Doritos and kind of like the junky food,” he said. But he noted that, though she was finding her own path, she had good habits instilled in her “by me and her mom. Her mom is a very healthy eater as well. And so that helps out a lot too.”

The young model steers clear of social media, but she often makes appearances on her mother’s Instagram. On Lourdes’ birthday this October, Madonna wrote a sweet message to her eldest: “You”ll Never know How Much I Love You ♥️ Love You ♥️ Love You ♥️ Lourdes Maria Ciccone Leon! #birthdaygirl#princessa.”

Madonna, 60, is also mom to Rocco Ritchie, 18, David Banda Mwale Ciccone Ritche, 13, Mercy James, 12, and 6-year-old twin daughters, Stelle Ciccone and Estere Ciccone.
