In his corner! Andy Cohen became a first-time dad in February and has been supported by an all-star group of moms.
“Sarah Jessica [Parker], Kelly [Ripa],” the Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen host, 50, told Us Weekly exclusively at the GLAAD Media Awards when asked who gave him the best parenting advice. “I have a whole squad of moms around me who have just been incredible.”
The Sex and the City alum, 54, shares James, 16, and twins Tabita and Marion, 9, with her husband, Matthew Broderick. The 48-year-old Live With Kelly and Ryan cohost’s brood with Mark Consuelos is the same size. Ripa welcomed Michael, 21, in 1997, followed by Lola, 17, and Joaquin, 16.
Cohen’s friends were also there for him before his son was born, throwing the Bravo personality a baby shower in January with Anderson Cooper’s help.
“I had a heart-boner for days after this crew threw me an equally epic affair on the East Coast,” the Most Talkative author captioned a party pic on Instagram at the time. “I feel loved & it’s all going to the [baby]. Worth noting that Anderson made the ribbon hat and did a beautiful job!”
Last month, Parker told Us exclusively that the first-time father is doing an incredible job with his newborn.
“He’s a wonderful dad,” the actress told Us. “He’s a better dad than I even think I thought he could ever be. … It’s real and he’s living up to all of our best expectations.”
Cohen’s son arrived via surrogate on February 4, and the Missouri native posted a black-and-white pic with his baby boy to announce the exciting news.
“WOW! This is my son,” he captioned the father-son photo. “Benjamin Allen Cohen. He is 9 lbs 2 ounces !! 20 inches !! Born at 6:35 pm, PT. He is named after my grandfather Ben Allen. I’m in love. And speechless. And eternally grateful to an incredible surrogate. And I’m a dad. Wow.”
