Mommy models, unite! Candice Swanepoel told Us Weekly exclusively that she exchanges advice with a couple of other Victoria’s Secret Angels with the help of a group chat.
“Behati [Prinsloo], Lily [Aldridge], we all … have our mommy chat,” the lingerie model, 30, said at The Daily Front Row‘s Fifth Annual Fashion Los Angeles Awards with Maybelline on Sunday, March 17. “Like, ‘Did you use this product?’ It helps.”
Prinsloo, also 30, shares Dusty, 2, and Gio, 13 months, with Adam Levine, while Aldridge, 33, welcomed her son, Winston, last month after giving birth to Dixie, 6, in 2012. She and Kings of Leon frontman, Caleb Followill, have been married since May 2011.
Swanepoel, who shares Anaca, 2, and Ariel, 8 months, with her fiancé, Hermann Nicoli, also hangs out with fellow mom and model Rosie Huntington-Whiteley — although not as often as she would like. Whiteley, 31, and Jason Statham have a 20-month-old son, Jack.
“She lives [in Los Angeles], and I live in New York. I don’t come to L.A. that often and it’s really hard to travel with little ones,” Swanepoel told Us. “But yeah, when we are together, we try to get the babies together too.”
The South African native doesn’t go out with her husband very often either and admitted that “date nights don’t exist” for her and Nicoli, 36, at the moment.
“Date night is with my two little men,” she said. “There will be a time where mama will be out again.”
For now, Swanepoel squeezes in time for self-care on her yoga mat. “Yoga is really good … for me because it also helps with centering myself and calming,” she told Us. “New York is a pretty crazy city to be in, so I need that and then I’ve had this trainer for many years, so sometimes he comes over and I do some weights and other things. But because I’ve been working out for so many years it like, my body snaps [and] … reacts pretty quickly.”
