“I thought I was going to avoid it,” the rapper, 26, said in Harper’s Bazaar‘s March issue cover story, which was published on Thursday, February 7. “When I gave birth, the doctor told me about postpartum, and I was like, ‘Well, I’m doing good right now, I don’t think that’s going to happen.’ But out of nowhere, the world was heavy on my shoulders.”
This isn’t the first time that the new mom has opened up about her mental health. She reposted a video from comedian Jay Versace on Instagram in August, writing, “This is how postpartum got me. The emotional struggle. BARDI vs BELCALIS.”
“This postpartum s–t is annoying,” the first-time mom wrote on her Instagram Story that same month. “Like I been emotional all f–king day for no reason.”

She added: “I feel like I don’t have my balance right yet. When it comes to heels, I’m not as good at walking anymore. I feel like I’m holding a weight on me. I don’t know why because I’m skinnier than I’ve ever been. But there’s an energy I haven’t gotten back yet that I had before I was pregnant. It’s just the weirdest thing.”
When the former reality star left a Queens courthouse in January, a reporter asked if she was back with Offset. “We’re working things out, baby,” she admitted at the time.
