Prince William and Duchess Kate are perfectly happy with their family of five — for now, at least.
“They are absolutely thrilled with having three [children],” a royal source says exclusively in the new issue of Us Weekly. “They are soaking up every minute they can. Their dream was always to have three kids. Kate knew she wanted a third not long after having Charlotte, but this time around they seem very content.”
That said, the source adds, “Never say never!”
The couple, who wed in April 2011, welcomed their third bundle of joy, Prince Louis, on April 23 in the Lindo Wing suite at St. Mary’s Hospital in London. Louis joined big brother Prince George, 4, and big sister Princess Charlotte, who celebrated her third birthday on May 2.
Since Louis’ arrival, Charlotte hasn’t left his side. Another royal confidant told Us, “Charlotte is really enjoying having a younger brother to play with. She’s taking her big sister duties very seriously. … Charlotte is just like [George]. They have a great bond, and a similar connection is growing between Charlotte and Louis.”
The princess’ love for the tiny heir was captured by Kate, 36, in an official photo released by Kensington Palace on Saturday, May 5. For the adorable snap, Charlotte held Louis on her birthday and gave him a kiss on his head. Kate also shared a solo picture of the newborn at just three days old. In that photo, he wore the hand-me-down white knitted outfit that his big sister donned in her baby portraits.
