Jana Kramer Showcases the ‘Reality’ of Parenthood: ‘I Need Wine Stat’

Putting it all out there! Jana Kramer gave her Instagram followers a glimpse of what being a mother of two young children looks like on Thursday, February 6.

“Realty vs reality,” the One Tree Hill alum, 35, captioned the shot. “S–t everywhere. Kid watching tv. Mom behind camera overwhelmed and needing a break from 5,000 loads of laundry. Anyone else feel this way? #momlife #ineedwineSTAT.”

In the photo of Kramer’s living room, the actress’ daughter Jolie, 2, was resting on the couch watching a show. One of her shoes was on the floor, and the rest of the space was scattered with objects — a blanket here, a baby toy there.

This isn’t the first time that the “Whine Down” podcast host, who also shares a 2-month-old son with her husband, Michael Caussin, has opened up about the difficulties of parenthood.

“Monday mood: tired from taking care of my THREE babies ;). #momlife,” she captioned a January 2019 photo of her husband, 31, and daughter. “Any other mommas out there already exhausted this week?!?! Hahah. Raise ur hand! And double raise your hand if you wouldn’t trade it for the world!”

The “I Got the Boy” singer isn’t the only mom feeling overwhelmed. Married at First Sight star Jamie Otis commented on Kramer’s honest living room photo and wrote, “Same!”

Although she is always honest about the trials and joys of mothering her two babies, sometime this means that the Michigan native has to stick up for her methods. When Kramer’s followers came after the sleep-training method she’s been using for her newborn son in January 2019, the musician clapped back.

“Get off my page and stop being trolly,” she said on her Instagram Story at the time. “We’re taking very good care of our baby. He looks pretty happy to me. What do you think? I think he does.”
