Fast asleep! Jessica Simpson’s 1-month-old daughter, Birdie, is all about rest and relaxation.
“I like to pose on my belly, but I love to sleep on my back,” the fashion designer, 38, captioned a black-and-white Instagram photo of her daughter on Monday, April 29. “#BirdieMae.”
In the sweet pic, the little one held a hand up over her face as she slept in a white cardigan and a “Don’t Wake the Dreamer” onesie.
The Dukes of Hazzard actress shared another shot of the newborn earlier this week. “Rollin’ into the weekend,” she captioned the Friday, April 26, upload, referencing Birdie’s arm rolls.
Simpson and her husband, Eric Johnson, welcomed their daughter in March. The singer is still adjusting to life as a mom of three as the couple also share daughter Maxwell, 6, and son Ace, 5.
“Recovering from a C-Section is no joke!” the I Do author wrote on Instagram in April. “I’m feeling thankful for these two older siblings looking over their new baby sister. I think we all get so carried away with the excitement of having a new baby that we forget that we are going in for major surgery. Then on top of that, we get home from the hospital, have to recover from the surgery, balance our new life as a parent to three kids and be a wife.”
That same month, a source told Us Weekly exclusively that “she was so over being pregnant, and now she’s looking forward to getting back on her feet again.”
The insider added that although Simpson was thrilled about her baby’s birth, she was “also exhausted and running on adrenaline” in the early days with her infant. Her husband, 39, has been lending a hand, though, as well as her children.
“They’re very helpful and sweet with the baby,” the source told Us. “They’re both very curious and like to be involved.”
