It runs in the family! John Legend and his 2-year-old daughter, Luna, showed off their silly singing skills while out to eat on Tuesday, March 26.
“Making too much noise at lunch,” the EGOT winner, 40, captioned an Instagram video. He asked, “Luna, do you know what’s on my shirt?” and when the little one responded, “Daddy Shark,” the father-daughter pair burst into song.
Legend posted another photo with his baby girl at the same restaurant booth, writing, “Daddy Shark + Luna Shark.” The two were all smiles in matching sunglasses.
The “All of Me” singer shares Luna with Chrissy Teigen. The couple, who tied the knot in 2013, started growing their family three years later. Luna became a big sister in May 2018 when Miles was born.
“Hello, world! This is Miles Theodore Stephens,” the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model, 33, wrote on Instagram at the time. “We are drowning in his little peeps and nuzzles. Our household feels overwhelmed with love. Thank you for all your well wishes!”
While the baby boy is still getting “close” to saying his first words, “Baby Shark” isn’t the only song that Legend and his daughter enjoy singing together.
The musician starred in a June 2018 Pampers commercial, in which he sang as he changed Luna’s diaper. “Somebody’s got a stinky booty,” he crooned. “Her name is Luna, and she made a poopy. Somebody’s got a stinky booty. Daddy’s gonna clean it up.”
“John’s been singing this to Luna since her very first diaper change in the hospital and he hasn’t missed an opportunity since,” Tiegen tweeted at the time. “I present to you, the underground hit of our household — the stinky booty song!”
Legend and his daughter both sang along to the tune while playing the piano earlier this month.
