Justin Theroux can’t help but marvel over his 3-week-old baby.
“It’s so hard to sum [fatherhood] up,” Theroux, 54, said on the Thursday, April 23, broadcast of Today. “I just love looking into his eyeballs. It’s just a wonderful thing. We’re in that period now where it’s a lot of quiet tip-toeing around the house and beautiful and [there’s] occasional crying. It’s wonderful.”
The Running Point star and his wife, Nicole Brydon Bloom, announced earlier this week that they recently welcomed their first baby.
“He’s here 🕊️We are so in love,” Theroux and Bloom, 32, captioned a joint Instagram pic of the newborn on Saturday, April 18.
Theroux further gushed about the couple’s new arrival during the third hour of Today on Thursday, joking that Bloom is “doing the Herculean task of feeding” their baby boy.
“It’s so much better [than I imagined],” Theroux added. “And, of course, I’ve been told by other fathers, ‘Wait ‘til you see this child. You’re gonna fall in love.’ And you still always have that little moment of, ‘Is that really going to happen?’”
He continued, “The minute he appears, your whole life just starts to revolve around this thing, and your heart just opens up in a beautiful way, so I’m really happy.”
Theroux, who was previously married to Jennifer Aniston from 2015 to 2018, moved on with Bloom in 2023. They tied the knot two years later in March 2025 during a dreamy ceremony in Mexico.
“We wanted a destination that felt private, romantic, and very relaxed,” Bloom told Vogue at the time. “The best part? We had a full moon for the entire weekend. It rose directly behind us on the beach on Thursday and felt very full circle from the proposal to now.”
Theroux, for his part, told the outlet that their nuptials were “wonderful.”
“Ceremonies with vows are about the words contained within them,” he mused to Vogue. “And they are better left undescribed here. That being said, the officiant said some wonderful things, and my wife was just… well, incredibly touching. I was very moved.”
Theroux and Bloom announced in December 2025 that they were expecting their first baby.
“I’ve always wanted to be a mom. I love kids,” the Paradise actress told The Hollywood Reporter in February. “I’ve always been looking forward to this chapter in my life, and certainly Justin has been, too. It’ll have its challenges with going back to work and everything, but I’m just thrilled, very happy.”
