Quite the occasion! Kelly Ripa shared an elegant photo of her and Mark Consuelos’ daughter, Lola, dressed to the nines for a special evening.
“Prom night 2018,” Ripa, 47, captioned the glamorous Instagram picture on Thursday, June 7. Lola, 16, stunned in a slinky lavender gown and a bright white corsage as she smiled alongside her date.
Despite the kind gesture, Ripa previously revealed that her daughter frequently gets embarrassed by her social media activity. On May 31, the Live With Kelly and Ryan cohost took to Instagram to post a hilarious Boomerang video of herself riding an inflatable mechanical bowl during an episode taping. Lola jokingly reacted to the clip in a direct message, telling Ripa, “This makes me extremely uncomfortable.”
Keeping her cool, the blonde beauty quipped back, “Then unfollow me,” before sharing a screenshot of the exchange. The TV presenter then teased, “She’s more of an @theellenshow fan.”
Although Lola typically maintains a low-profile, the teenager stepped into the spotlight in November 2017 when she appeared on an episode of Live. “I’m so nervous,” she told Ripa after walking on set. The All My Children alum embraced Lola and reassured her, “Don’t be nervous … Look at all these friendly faces.”
After she settled in, cohost Ryan Seacrest asked Lola what about her “strict” mom “drives [her] the craziest.”
Lola laughed and looked over at Ripa before replying, “You just tell stories about me that are just not true. I’ve seen videos titled, like, ‘Lola’s Breakdown’ about a toy. It’s just not true.”
But at the end of the day, Lola is always in Ripa’s corner. “She’s just so great,” the brunette belle raved to Seacrest. “I love [her] so much.”
Ripa and Consuelos are also parents to Michael, 21, and Joaquin, 15.
