Tie-breaker! Reality stars Ashley Petta and Anthony D’Amico used powder cannons to reveal the sex of their second child in Us Weekly’s exclusive clip.
“Anthony is a nervous wreck,” the pregnant Illinois native, 33, said in Married at First Sight: Couples Cam on Thursday, September 17.
When her husband, 37, chimed in, “I just want everything to go perfectly,” Petta explained, “By perfectly, he means he wants a boy.”
After the Michigan native set up multiple cameras and a drone, the couple shot pink powder cannons with their family members and their 20-month-old daughter, Mila.
“It’s a girl. I’m getting the hell out of here,” the Forefront magazine cofounder joked as he ran away from the reveal. “I’m gone. I’m dead.”
D’Amico added in a confessional: “I definitely was having a little bit of thoughts that I would like to see a blue cloud. However, I’m happy that it’s a girl. I’m gonna love the heck out of her. It’s gonna be awesome. Mila’s gonna have a cool little sister, and they’re gonna have fun, and they’re gonna bond, and they’re gonna share clothes, and they’re gonna chase guys and I’m gonna kill both of them.”
The pair announced in July that they’re expecting baby No. 2 after welcoming their daughter in January 2019.
“We are pregnant! 13 weeks and 2 days to be exact,” Petta wrote via Instagram at the time. “I could not wait to reach my second trimester as it has been a very difficult road for us to get here. I thought by this point I would be able to breathe and enjoy this pregnancy, but unfortunately that has not been the case. I’ve been experiencing a lot of spotting and bleeding over the last 10 days. Several ultrasounds all check out and baby looks good.”
She and D’Amico fell in love on season 5 of Married at First Sight in 2016. When Mila arrived three years later, the Lifetime personalities “couldn’t imagine life without” the little one.

“I don’t think either of us has ever loved someone so much,” the new dad gushed to Us at the time. “We love you our little Mila Rose we hope you stay this sweet forever!”
