Vitiello, a celebrity chef, reportedly dated Meghan after she called it quits with her first husband, Trevor Engelson, in 2013, but before the former Suits star met Prince Harry in July 2016. (Us Weekly exclusively confirmed on Saturday, June 2, that Engelson, for his part, recently popped the question to his girlfriend of three years, Tracey Kurland.)

“I’m pleased for Meghan. She’s a great girl,” Vitiello reportedly told the Daily Mail about his ex in April, a month before she walked down the aisle. “There is no bitterness. I respect people’s private and personal lives, and although she has put herself in the public spectrum, I still hold to that.”

Meghan and Harry wed on May 19 at St George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle and subsequently became the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. Harry addressed the possibility of having children during their joint engagement interview in November 2017.

“Not, not currently no. No, of course you know,” the prince told BBC when the subject of kids came up. “I think you know one step at a time, and hopefully we’ll start a family in the near future.”

In the meantime, the newlyweds have signed a two-year lease for a weekend home on the Great Tew Estate in the Cotswolds, a 90-minute drive from London, a source told Us Weekly on May 30. Harry and Meghan are expected to spent time there while as their centuries-old Nottingham Cottage at Kensington Palace undergoes renovations.

“Meghan loves the Cotswolds and fell in love with the estate the first time she went,” the source tells Us. “She’s excited to move into another property on the royal estate. She can’t wait to decorate it like her own, where she feels like it’s her home.”
