Hand in hand. Kanye West appeared to walk on water with his eldest son and daughter during his latest Sunday Service.
Kim Kardashian documented the Sunday, September 6, Fayetteville, Georgia, event on her Instagram Story with Saint, 4, and La La Anthony. The Keeping Up With the Kardashians star, 39, rode to the lake in a golf cart, then shared videos of her husband’s choir singing songs, including West’s “Ultralight Beam,” while seemingly walking on water. The E! personality also showed footage of Joel Olsteen preaching.
The rapper, 43, went on to join his choir with North, 7, and Saint, walking beside him in Kardashian’s video. Their eldest daughter’s friend Caiden Mills posted another angle of the moment on Monday, September 7, writing via Instagram: “Walking on Water with The West Family.”
The event, which followed coronavirus safety guidelines, was attended by 150 people, including rapper 2Chainz, Chick-fil-A president Bubba Cathy and singer Monica Denise.
The Grammy winner has been leading Sunday Services since 2019. The Chicago native announced in July that he is running for president of the United States. “We must now realize the promise of America by trusting God, unifying our vision and building our future,” the “Stronger” rapper tweeted at the time. “I am running for president of the United States! #2020VISION.”
During his first presidential campaign rally later that same month, West broke down in tears discussing previously considering aborting his and Kardashian’s first child. The fashion designer later tweeted about “trying to get divorced” from the KKW Beauty creator.
The Selfish author, who is also mom of Chicago, 2, and Psalm, 15 months, subsequently addressed her husband’s bipolar disorder for the first time. “I feel like I should comment on it because of the stigma and misconceptions about mental health,” the makeup mogul wrote via Instagram. “Those that understand mental illness or even compulsive behavior know that the family is powerless unless the member is a minor. People who are unaware or far removed from this experience can be judgmental and not understand that the individual themselves have to engage in the process of getting help no matter how hard family and friends try.”
Last month, a source exclusively told Us that West is in a “much better headspace,” noting, “Kanye is doing a lot better. Spending time with his family is good for him.”
The insider added that the Yeezy creator’s “family and friends are definitely wondering how far his presidential run will go.”
