It's probably for the best (for censors' sake) that the Producers' Guild Awards were not broadcast on a major TV network on Sunday, Jan. 19, because things got delightfully raunchy — and it all concerned Mr. Ben Affleck's um, anatomy. The surprises began when TV mega-producer Chuck Lorre (Two and a Half Men, Big Bang Theory) was presented with the special Norman Lear Achievement Award in Television.
After getting a standing ovation, the often-outspoken CBS sitcom honcho went on a tangent during speech, recalling an encounter with Affleck, 41, at the urinals in the men's room at last Sunday's Golden Globes. "Yes, I peeked, and yes, he can play Batman," Lorre, 61, said in admiration, later making another reference to a "Ben Affleck chubby."
The future Caped Crusader later presented the night's top Best Picture prize (which, in a twist, was split between 12 Years a Slave and Gravity), and entered the stage to the strains of the Batman song. Before announcing the dual winners, he acknowledged Lorre's, um, compliments. "I want to thank someone tonight. Evidentially, I was in the bar briefly and I came back to my seat and someone said, 'You know there was a guy on stage who said you have a big dick,'" the married father of four told the crowd.
"I was like, 'You know? Isn't that always how it goes. The one time it happens, I miss it.' Thank you very much," continued Jennifer Garner's hubby. "Whoever you are God bless you. I'm often confused with Matt Damon but rarely with Michael Fassbender, so it's a nice change," he quipped as the crowd went completely wild with laughter and applause. (Oscar-nominated German hunk Fassbender, 36, has memorably gone full frontal in the film Shame.)
