The L.A. County Coroner’s Office confirms to Us Weekly that four prescription pill bottles were found by the body of Jim Carrey‘s late girlfriend, Cathriona White. None of the bottles was prescribed in her name, and three were under the alias of the actor.
The four prescriptions were Ambien, Percocet, Propranolol, and Zofran, Winter confirms to Us.
“There were four bottles found, three of them with a name on it and they weren’t hers,” Winter explains. “We confirmed with the pharmacy it was an alias [for Carrey]. It’s not against the law if you go to the doctor, as long as it shows somewhere on your medical records your real name, then you can have [an alias]. A lot of celebrities use aliases. I’m not going to release the name. The prescriptions found were Ambien, Percocet, Propranolol and Zofran. [They were all in the name of Jim’s alias] except for the Zofran, there was no name on the [Zofran] bottle.”
Ambien treats insomnia, while Percocet helps alleviate moderately severe pain. Propranolol aids with high blood pressure and chest pain, and Zofran is taken to prevent symptoms of nausea and vomiting.
Winter also tells Us that the official toxicology report will be released in about 8 to 10 weeks. “The autopsy was done and cause of death was deferred until we get all the toxicology, histopathology, neuropathology [reports] back,” Winter says.
The coroner’s office previously confirmed to Us that a note addressed to Carrey — along with the pills — was found next to White’s body. In a statement to Us, Carrey mourned the loss of his on-again, off-again girlfriend, whom he started dating in 2012.
“She was a truly kind and delicate Irish flower, too sensitive for this soil,” the actor told Us last Tuesday. “To whom loving and being loved was all that sparkled.” The grieving actor visited with the family of his late girlfriend last Wednesday, Sept. 30. “They spent several hours at his home in Brentwood,” a source confirmed to Us, adding that Carrey had put White’s family up in a hotel room while they were in town.
White alluded to troubled times via social media in the days leading up to her apparent suicide at age 30. The makeup artist and her famous boyfriend, 53, supposedly split on Sept. 24, the same day that White penned her final tweet.
“Signing off Twitter, I hope I have been a light to my nearest and dearest,” she wrote. “[Love] to you all.”
