Donald Trump’s Super Tuesday Victory Speech Was Full of Zingers: See the Best Ones

No one zings quite like Donald Trump. The inescapable presidential candidate took the stage for a last-minute press conference following his Super Tuesday wins on Tuesday, March 1, speaking about everything from his proposal to build a wall between the United States and Mexico to the Democratic party’s lack of enthusiasm.

The GOP frontrunner kicked off the event — held outside his lavish Palm Beach, Florida, estate — by having New Jersey governor Chris Christie (who officially endorsed Trump last Friday) read a few words to the crowd about how great a candidate Trump is.

Then Trump, 69, claimed the spotlight to boast about how well he’s been doing on the campaign trail thus far. (All the while, Christie, 53, stood behind with a stoic expression that has since been much talked-about.)

“The Democrats … they don’t have any energy,” he said. “Their numbers are down. Our numbers are through the roof. … I think if somebody is doing as well as I’m doing … I think it’s awfully hard to say that’s not the person we want to lead the party, right?”

On Tuesday, Trump beat out his main Republican party rivals, Ted Cruz and Marco Rubio, by taking control of states including Alabama, Tennessee and Virginia.

The controversial candidate even took the opportunity to dis Democratic frontrunner Hillary Clinton  dismissing her candidacy by saying, “I don’t know that she’s going to be allowed to run" — and to talk about his idea to build a physical wall between the U.S. and Mexico.

“We either have a country or we don’t,” he said. “We have borders or we don’t have borders.”
