Fuller House’s 10 Craziest Moments: Olsen Twin Shade and Channing Tatum’s Butt!

The Tanners are back and better than ever on Netflix’s Fuller House, and so much has changed. Not only is Stephanie (Jodie Sweetin) a boy-crazy DJ, actual D.J. (Candace Cameron Bure) is a widow with three kids who is shacked up with everyone’s favorite girl next door, Kimmy Gibbler (Andrea Barber). Oh, and her last name’s Fuller, because of course.

We watched all 13 episodes of Full House‘s revival and are bringing you the 10 craziest moments — including some major Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen shade, not to mention a shoutout to Channing Tatum‘s buns of steel.

Olsen Twin Mega-Shade

Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen opted *not* to participate in Fuller House (um, how dare they), and they had some major shade thrown their way as a result. Not only did the cast side-eye the camera after mentioning that their character, Michelle, was “busy in New York running her fashion empire,” Kimmy took a direct jab at the twins’ fashion line, saying, “At these prices, no wonder they don’t need to act anymore.” Ya burnt.

Uncle Jesse and Becky Renewed Their Vows

And it was the cutest ever. The season closed out with the 1990s it-couple dishing their love for each other — a prime nostalgia moment for all those OG shippers out there. And yes, Uncle Jesse’s (John Stamos) hair looked amazing.

There Was an Alanis Morissette Reference

Remember “You Oughta Know” by Alanis Morissette? Of course you do! But true Full House fans will also remember that Morissette dated Uncle Joey actor Dave Coulier and was rumored to have written the song about him. The show made a direct reference to said rumor when D.J. and her boyfriend listened to Morissette and mused, “You know what that song is really about?”

Danny Tanner Literally Became His Couch

It’s safe to say that Full House‘s actual house is stuck in the ’90s. Nothing has changed when it comes to the home’s interior decor, down to the classic blue-and-white checked couch. Tragedy comes when the family dog rips the sofa to shreds in Fuller House (ugh, #CometWouldNever), but the upside is that Stephanie makes her dad a jacket out of its remains. Totally normal, don’t even worry about it.

Meta Alert

Fuller House took on critics of its revival by making a supermeta reference courtesy of Danny’s (Bob SagetWake Up San Francisco Reunion Show. “Isn’t it kinda sad when they drag out the old cast for some lame reunion show?” Kimmy said. Danny’s response? “Not when the show’s adored by millions, and the stars are beloved cultural icons.” Nailed it, Mr. Tanner.

Um, Hi, Macy Gray

Macy Gray tried to say goodbye, and she choked, so she hit up the Fuller House revival instead. The singer made an unexpected cameo as herself and seemed pretty aware of how random her appearance was when she mused, “What am I doing here? I won a Grammy!”

Topical References, Here We Come

Not only did we get an Uber reference and a nod to the booming San Francisco housing market, Fuller House got its pop culture on. Stephanie helped Iggy Azalea “find a contact lens at Coachella” (take a minute to LOL), while Kimmy photoshopped Channing Tatum‘s butt onto D.J.’s online dating profile. So in case you were confused, its definitely 2016.

Fuller House on Fleek

In case you were wondering whether saying “on fleek” is still “on fleek,” the phrase just appeared on Fuller House, so we’re thinking it’s not. D.J. single-handedly killed “fleek” by saying it to Stephanie and Kimmy, and they responded in the best way possible: “Annnnnd that’s the death of fleek.”

The Tanners Reach Peak White

Full House wasn’t exactly known for its racial diversity, and the update poked fun at this by having Kimmy’s biracial daughter, Ramona (Soni Bringas), call the Fullers/Tanners the Whitest Family in America. Or, to put it another way, “The Fullers are like albino polar bears drinking milk in a snowstorm watching Frozen.” Accurate.

Fuller House Is Not Team Trump

Time for some more topical humor! The cast didn’t even wait one episode before throwing Donald Trump shade, with D.J.’s kid explaining that his name is a bad word in their house. Oh, and he also told Kimmy that her feet “smell like Trump.” Ya burnt x 2.
