Jennifer Garner and her boyfriend, John Miller, enjoyed a rare date night on Sunday, August 2, marking the first time they have been publicly seen together in nearly a year.
Both Garner, 54, and Miller, 48, were all smiles as they headed to dinner in Santa Monica, California, in photos obtained by the Daily Mail. At one point, the Five-Star Weekend actress lovingly placed her hand on the businessman’s back as they walked to Fia, an Italian restaurant that describes itself as “a whimsical and romantic oasis” tucked inside a “secret garden” in its Instagram bio.
“John and Jennifer are still together and going strong,” a source exclusively tells Us.
Garner and Miller have dated on and off since early 2018. Prior to Sunday’s outing, they were last photographed together in December 2025.
Despite keeping their relationship private, the pair have continued to blend their lives — and families — away from the spotlight.
“Jennifer has gotten to know John’s kids and has even hosted get-togethers at her place,” the insider tells Us, “but their kids don’t really overlap because everyone is so busy and some are off in college.”
Garner shares three children with her ex-husband Ben Affleck, while Miller has two kids with his ex-wife, Caroline Campbell. (Both former couples were married from 2005 to 2018.)
Us previously reported that Miller had been forced to move out of his Los Angeles home shortly before the devastating Palisades Fire in January 2025. Now, the source shares that the CaliBurger CEO is building a new house in nearby Malibu.
“He bought a close to two-acre lot for nearly $2 million last year after the fires,” the insider tells Us. “It’s a big project, and it’s just in the beginning stages. The vacant site already features a pool and sweeping ocean views.”
While the property is under construction, Miller has been dividing his time between a temporary abode and Garner’s L.A. farmhouse.
“John has his own apartment in the meantime, but he spends half his nights at Jennifer’s home,” the source says.
Affleck, 53, also frequently visits his ex-wife’s house while amicably coparenting their children. The Oscar winner was even photographed laughing with Miller on Garner’s driveway in 2023.
“He’s wonderful,” the 13 Going on 30 star gushed of Affleck during an interview with Entertainment Weekly last month. “He takes care of [our kids]. He’s a great partner in that way. And so that’s very freeing.”
