The next Simpson to top the charts? Jessica Simpson took to Instagram on Sunday, March 22, to post an adorable photo of her son Ace flexing his musical muscles.
The “With You” singer, 34, shared a sweet shot of the little boy, 21 months, standing in front of a fireplace and strumming on a miniature pink guitar. With his mouth agape, he looks to the side as his tiny fingers find the strings.
“Ace with Maxwell’s pink guitar and Daddy’s shirt,” Simpson wrote of her son, whose entire body is covered in an adult-sized white cotton T-shirt. “Family is everything.”
Simpson and her husband Eric Johnson welcomed little Ace in June 2013, following the earlier birth of the couple’s first child, daughter Maxwell, in May 2012.
Ace and Maxwell will soon be getting a new cousin, as their aunt Ashlee Simpson is expecting a child with her new husband Evan Ross. The two stars, who exchanged vows in August 2014, recently announced that Ashlee, 30, is pregnant with a baby girl. She and ex-husband Pete Wentz are already the parents to son Bronx, 6.
Jessica’s singing career may have slowed down in recent years, but sources tell Us Weekly that the pop singer is getting back into the studio with plans to record a new album. The fashion designer has also continued her business ventures as she raises her two children, seeing great success with her namesake line of shoes, clothes, decor, and beauty products.
“I really do feel like I’m in the best place in my life,” Simpson told Kathie Lee Gifford and Hoda Kotb on Today this past September, gushing about Johnson, 35, whom she called “the best man I know,” and their two little ones. “[Motherhood] has been the best joy… My husband is the best father.”
