Trouble is once again brewing in Teen Mom land, this time between Teen Mom 2 costars Kailyn Lowry and Jenelle Evans. The former pals threw some not-so-subtle shade at each other online on Tuesday, January 26, after Evans’ exclusive interview with Us Weekly came out.
In the interview, Evans talked about her decision to forego extensive plastic surgery on her chin, and commented on Lowry’s recent full-body makeover.
“She looks great, and I’m happy [for her],” Evans, 24, told Us. “Whatever makes her happy. That’s her choice. It’s just not mine. It’s her decision. It’s her body. No one can tell her what to do.”

Lowry, 23, recently went under the knife with Michael “Dr. Miami” Salzhauer, the same plastic surgeon Evans consulted before deciding against her chin procedure. On January 25, Lowry showed off her new hourglass frame while posing with the specialist for an Instagram shot.
Evans’ comments about her costar seemed positive, but Lowry took offense, later tweeting, “When your cast mates subtly throw shade at you it’s cool though.”
Evans replied, writing, “Sometimes you just have to block people in life that you once believed to be your friend.”
And when a fan told the North Carolina native to patch things up with Lowry, she replied, “I’ve always been the black sheep of the group, it’s all good. I’m use to it now.”
Though the MTV show doesn’t film the girls’ stories together, the cast members have known one another since their 16 and Pregnant episodes aired in 2010. Since then they’ve moved on to Teen Mom 2, which is currently filming its seventh season.
Prior to this online feud, Evans and Lowry have always appeared friendly on social media. In early December, Evans promoted Lowry’s children’s book, Love Is Bubblegum, on her Instagram account, and as recently as Sunday night, the pair were tweeting back and forth to each other.
“And why is Jase so good looking to me?” Lowry tweeted while watching Jase Robertson on Duck Dynasty.
“@KailLowry that sounds so weird,” Evans quipped back, referencing her 6-year-old son, Jace.
“@PBandJenelley_1 lol!!! Not your jace!!!” Lowry replied.
