Tinder may need to take a backseat. Despite admitting earlier this week that she's "really deep" into the dating website, Katy Perry has stepped out with her new bad boy — DJ Diplo.
Newly single Perry, 29, and the L.A.-based music producer were photographed grabbing dinner together at the Marlton Hotel in NYC on Thursday, April 24. The "Dark Horse" singer looked smitten as she wore a patterned skirt and sleeveless black top.
Later that night, the couple attended the Amazing Spider-Man 2 after party at Skylight at Moynihan Station, where they were joined by Office alum B.J. Novak. "Diplo and Katy were super affectionate," an onlooker told Us. "It's a really fun relationship for them both, easy and casual."
Perry and Diplo, 35, have been flying under the radar since first being spotted getting flirty at Coachella in Indio, Calif. On April 13, the twosome were caught making out while attending the star-studded music festival. (Some of Diplo's collaborators include Justin Bieber, Bruno Mars, and Britney Spears.)
"They were stealing kisses at first," an eyewitness told Us. "As the night progressed, there was a lot of touching!" Although it got hot and heavy, a pal added: "She was just messing around!"
Perry's rebound romance comes two months after officially calling it quits with on-again, off-again beau John Mayer. "They've had rough patches, but this may be for good," a source told Us of the pair, who dated for two years. The "Roar" singer also went through a painful divorce with comedian Russell Brand in 2011 after 14 months of marriage. Diplo, meanwhile, previously dated rapper M.I.A. for five years.
