The Little Monsters are praying for a reunion. Lady Gaga shared a photo of her ex-fiancé, Taylor Kinney, giving fans hope that the former flames might get back together.
The “Perfect Illusion” songstress, 30, took to Instagram on Monday, December 5, to share a photo of the Chicago Fire actor, 35, posing with her mother, Cynthia Germanotta. The duo smiled as they dropped letters into an orange mailbox to support the pop superstar’s charity, the Born This Way Foundation, which works to stop bullying and spread kindness.
“At 30 Rockefeller center my charity the @btwfoundation also offers a place to send kind letters to people,” the American Horror Story actress wrote. “@taylorkinney and my mom sent letters filled with kind words to soldiers fighting overseas. #ShareKindness.”
Gaga and Kinney ended their engagement in July after five years together, but the “Bad Romance” singer later clarified that the split may only be temporary. “Taylor and I have always believed we are soulmates. Just like all couples we have ups and downs, and we have been taking a break,” she wrote on Instagram. “We are both ambitious artists, hoping to work through long-distance and complicated schedules to continue the simple love we have always shared. Please root us on. We’re just like everybody else and we really love each other.”
As Us Weekly reported back in July, both stars’ families are hoping for a reconciliation, so it’s not surprising to see Kinney spending time with Gaga’s mom. “Both of their families are upset,” an insider told Us at the time. “And his [Chicago Fire] costars tell him that they miss her. Everyone is hoping they get back together.”
Since the split, Gaga has continually insisted that the exes are amicable. “I’m actually very close to Taylor,” she told Howard Stern in October. “He’s been my lover and my friend for a really long time. He’s been so supportive of the album [Joanne], and I support him on his show, Chicago Fire.”
