According to TMZ, the former NBA player, 36, went to the Delta lounge at LAX, where witnesses claimed he got “wasted” off of beer and whiskey.

Two first-class passengers told the site that Odom sat down in his seat, 4B, but as the aircraft began to pull away from the gate, he ran to the front of the plane and threw up in the galley. Allegedly, he continued to puke in the plane’s bathroom with the door open. The eyewitnesses also claimed to TMZ that the athlete turned reality star had vomit on his clothes.

TMZ reports that Odom was “gently” taken off the flight and a crew came to clean up his mess. However, he reappeared on the plane 10 minutes later (with vomit, reportedly, still on his sweatpants) and sat back down in 4B. Moments later, he allegedly made his way to the bathroom again, using passengers’ heads to steady himself.

TMZ claims that one concerned passenger told a flight attendant, “Don’t you know his history? I don’t want a dead body at 30,000 feet.” According to the outlet, Odom was escorted off the plane for a second and final time. The incident caused the flight to arrive 40 minutes late to NYC.

Prior to his failed attempt to make it to the East Coast, Odom filed his response to Khloé Kardashian’s divorce papers on Friday, July 8. His estranged wife filed for divorce from the one-time Lakers forward for the second time this past May.

The Strong Looks Better Naked author, 32, initially filed for divorce from Odom in December 2013, but the paperwork was never finalized. Last fall, Kardashian withdrew her divorce documents to serve as his caretaker. As previously reported, the E! starlet looked after Odom as he recovered from a near-fatal overdose in October 2015 at a legal brothel in Nevada.

“He is sad but also happy to move on with a clear mind,” a source told Us of Odom in May after Kardashian filed a second time. “He is more independent now and with his friends all the time and his kids a lot. So he’s ready to move on.”
