Life goes on. Lamar Odom stepped out on Tuesday, Dec. 17, for the first time since estranged wife Khloe Kardashian's divorce filing on Friday, Dec. 13.
Wearing black track pants and a dark, zip-up jacket, the 34-year-old basketball player looked ready for a workout. He appeared to have his hands full with sneakers and a travel bag.
As previously reported, Kardashian filed to end her four-year marriage to the athlete on Friday, Dec. 13. The two had been estranged for several months prior, however, and a source told Us Weekly that Odom knew a formal split was coming.
"Lamar expected this," the insider said, referring to the divorce. "He's fine with it. He just wants it over swiftly and smoothly now. He's had time to come to terms with it."
His wife, meanwhile, had been sharing cryptic messages about love and heartache for months. She continued that trend on Monday, Dec. 16, when she stepped out in Burbank, Calif., wearing a sweatshirt that read, "Nothing Was the Same."
Kardashian cited irreconcilable differences in her divorce papers. She is not requesting spousal support, but she is asking the judge to remove "Odom" from her legal name.
