Don’t tell the FCC! Miley Cyrus accidentally dropped the F-bomb on live TV during her Today show appearance on Friday, September 16.
The Voice coach, 23, was mic’ed up and ready for her interview early, so the talk show teased that Cyrus was coming up next after the commercial break. They showed the “Wrecking Ball” singer smiling at the camera, but she thought it was a sound-free segment. Cyrus apparently had no idea her microphone was on and broadcasting everything she was saying.
“I don’t know what to do with my face right now!” she joked. “What should I do with this? I don’t know. There’s no sound, so it doesn’t matter what I’m saying, right? F–k.”
With no tape delay to bleep the curse word, the show cut right to commercial.
Later during her sit-down, the Crisis in Six Scenes actress stood by her statement that she will never do another red carpet again. “I don’t really want people to talk about what I’m wearing. That’s usually why I don’t wear too much,” she said. “But they make me wear clothes on The Voice and on the Today show and … people are going to talk about it.”
Cohost Savannah Guthrie also asked the “We Can’t Stop” songstress about the ring she’s been wearing since rekindling her relationship with Liam Hemsworth. “I got this one because it was really cute,” she said pointing to her plastic watermelon ring. “And then I got this one because it was really cute,” she said, referring to a strawberry ring. “I didn’t pick this one out, but it’s cute too,” she said of the massive sparkler on her left hand.
