Flashback Friday indeed. Miley Cyrus donned a long blonde wig while filming on the set of Woody Allen’s first Amazon TV series in Westchester, New York, on Friday, March 11.
The 23-year-old “Wrecking Ball” singer’s toned-down look was reminiscent of her appearance on the four-season run of Disney’s Hannah Montana — sans the bangs.
In images snapped from the set, Cyrus dons an oversize, red-printed poncho with rainbow fringe and baggy green cargo pants. Allen, 80, previously told Deadline.com that the six-part series will consist of half-hour episodes that take place in the ’60s.
The Birdcage writer Elaine May will also feature alongside the pop star.
Cyrus has been known to experiment with her hairstyle in the past, and most recently unveiled a bob hairstyle like the one she wore pre-crop back in 2012 (for the last few years, the former child star rocked a pixie cut).
“Filled w happiness and joy! Ran into our favorite quiz master!!!! Alimi Ballard! Aka Albert! @vijatm #quizmaster,” she captioned a photo of herself with photographer friend Vijat Mohindra and Sabrina, the Teenage Witch alum Ballard.
And in other throwback news, Cyrus recently reconciled with ex-fiancé Liam Hemsworth, and the pair are reportedly back on.
“Miley and Liam are picking up exactly where they left off,” a source told Us Weekly in January of the re-engaged pair. “They know what they have is real. Miley needed some time to grow up, but she feels ready for this now.”
