A fresh start? Tarek El Moussa predicts that his ex-wife, Christina El Moussa, will take herself off the market and remarry someday.
“I’m sure she will,” the Flip or Flop star, 36, says in the new issue of Us Weekly. “It’s her life. Good for her. Whatever makes her happy. I just hope it’s the right guy and I just hope it’s the right guy to be around my kids [Taylor, 7, and Brayden, 2], but I can’t control that.”
Tarek and Christina, 34, split in December 2016 after seven years of marriage and finalized their divorce in January. She is now dating British TV presenter Ant Anstead.
Tarek says he’s up for renovating his own love life as well. “I feel like I’ve learned so many valuable lessons,” he tells Us. So if he were to wed again, he adds, “I’d be smart enough to handle that and use what I’ve learned so I never make the same mistakes twice. I need to make sure that the spouse I’m with is on the same page.”
More importantly, the HGTV personality’s potential future wife would need to be “absolutely obsessed” with his kids, he explains. “I think it’s very important to have a very loving, strong woman around children, so that’s what I’ll be looking for.”
But don’t expect him to go on a double date with Christina and Anstead anytime soon. He tells Us, “That would be, like, the weirdest thing ever.”
