Bennifer — The ones that started it all! When Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez started dating in 2002, their relationship caused such a stir that it needed its own name: "Bennifer." Long after they called off their engagement in 2004, Affleck told GQ magazine in 2012 that he couldn't handle the fame of the relationship. "I think I just ran away. You can only handle so much," he said. "I moved for a while to this place in Georgia that I have, was able to get away, by and large, from stuff. Come up with a plan for how to do something with my life that doesn't put me in the crosshairs of this sort of thing."
TomKat — After the demise of "Bennifer," "TomKat" emerged. Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes began dating in April 2005, and Cruise famously declared his love for the Dawson's Creek alum on by jumping up and down on Oprah Winfrey's talk show couch. Sadly, "TomKat," who wed in 2006 and welcomed daughter Suri that same year, went their separate ways in July 2012.
Brangelina — Once fans got over the shock of Brad Pitt leaving his marriage with Jennifer Aniston to be with his Mr. and Mrs. Smith costar Angelina Jolie, "Brangelina" was born in 2005. Perhaps the ultimate power couple, the A-listers are now parents to six kids and got engaged in April 2012 after seven years together.
Kimye — Kim Kardashian started dating longtime friend Kanye West in April 2012, well before her divorce was finalized from Kris Humphries. "Kimye" became a household name after the couple announced they were expecting their first child in December 2012. Kardashian finalized her divorce from Humphries in June 2013, gave birth to daughter North West a couple weeks later, and got engaged to West by October.
