Emily VanCamp and Josh Bowman's Love Story: From Costars to Couple

In a case of life imitating art, Emily VanCamp and Josh Bowman met while playing love interests on Revenge in 2011. Us Weekly broke the news of their relationship in January 2012, and they got engaged in May 2017. VanCamp and Bowman tied the knot at Harbour Island in the Bahamas in December 2018. While VanCamp has occasionally shared sweet photos with her husband via Instagram, the duo have largely remained relatively private. However, the Resident alum has gushed about how comfortable she feels around her spouse. “I’m at my most confident when I’m in nature and I don’t have to dress up. When I take off my makeup, that’s [Josh’s] favorite,” she said in the January/February 2013 issue of Women’s Health. “And that, to me, is a symbol of a great guy — someone who doesn’t care about all that [glamorous] stuff.” Scroll down to see how Bowman and VanCamp fell for each other — and how their love stays strong:

Bowman's Revenge character proposed to VanCamp's in the show's "Commitment" episode. In real life, the couple had just begun dating. "They hang out together every night," a source told Us Weekly.

[The proposal] was in a forest. We were in nature on a hike kind of doing what we do, it was very, sort of, us. So yeah, it was great, beautiful.”

The actors tied the knot in the Bahamas in front of loved ones and former costars. “Thank you to all of our friends and family who made their way to celebrate with us! We are eternally grateful,” VanCamp wrote on Instagram a day after saying "I do." The caption was written on a picture of the two actors throwing their hands up in celebration after the ceremony. The bride stunned in a custom Lela Rose wedding gown, which she called her "dream dress."
