In June 2022, social media users noticed that Rae and Easterling both unfollowed Lopez on Instagram. One month later, a 25-year-old woman named Renée Ash claimed she was in a relationship with Lopez — who allegedly lied about his marriage being over. At the time, Lopez did not publicly respond to the accusations. Easterling, however, took to social media to acknowledge major changes in her life. “Personal matters being brought public are always challenging and overwhelming for anyone involved,” the mother of three wrote via Instagram Story in July 2022. “I will be okay. Later that month, Gravy and Easterling started an online flirtation after the Minnesota native offered to take her on a date. “I win???” she replied in the comments section. “I never win anything.” Meanwhile, Lopez slammed Gravy's public display of affection toward his estranged wife. “When Yung Gravy won’t accept a boxing match," the Louisiana native captioned a TikTok video where he challenged the rapper to a fight. Gravy, for his part, didn't seem fazed by the feud. “I didn’t know she was married,” he explained on a Barstool Sports podcast in August 2022. “I am aware it would be frowned upon. I [would be] pretty mad if I was the husband. I learned afterwards.” That same month, the "Mr. Clean" performer and Easterling packed on the PDA during their first public outing as a couple. When Did Gravy's Romance With Easterling Start?

Shortly after Easterling changed her Instagram bio to "single mom," the musician was seen shooting his shot via TikTok. In various videos from July 2022, Gravy stitched himself into Easterling's TikToks where she discussed her idea of a perfect date.

One month later, the pair made their red carpet debut at the 2022 MTV Video Music Awards. "We met online and we connected right away," he gushed during a pre-show interview on the black carpet in August 2022. "You know, I'm from the furthest north it gets and she's from the furthest south it gets."

How Did Lopez React to Easterling and Gravy Flirting on Social Media?

In response to Gravy and Easterling's public flirting, Lopez challenged the performer to a boxing match. “Watch your [mouth] boy!” Rae's father wrote in a TikTok clip in July 2022. “[You’re] gonna get rocked!”

After Easterling and Gravy made their red carpet debut in August 2022, Lopez took to social media to weigh in. "Unbothered. Thank you @younggravy for taking the leftovers! I would rather spend time with my daughter and 2 grandkids that SheriNicole made me abandon as a child in order to be with her!" he wrote via Instagram Story. "Never let a woman make you choose between her and or your blood child!"

The He's All That actress has remained tight-lipped about the public drama between her parents. Eagle-eyed fans, however, noticed that Rae unfollowed her mother on Instagram in August 2022.

In a comment reacting to the news, Easterling called the social media move “heart wrenching.”

What Does Gravy Think About the Pair’s Haters?

The rapper came to Easterling’s defense in August 2022 after a tweet slammed their VMAs make out session. “We would not want to be @AddisonRae today as she’s trending alongside her mom @sherinicolee 👀 Sheri is causing quite the internet stir after attending the @vmas as @yunggravy's date and showing lots of PDA on the red carpet,” the social media post read.

Gravy had his date’s back, responding, “She’s newly single and living her life. Leave her alone lol.”
