Danielle Olivera is breaking down the conversation she had with Carl Radke after his ex-fiancee, Lindsay Hubbard, claimed they got handsy in an Uber back in 2019.
“I talked to Carl because, like, it was his lie,” Danielle, 37, exclusively told Us Weekly on Tuesday, June 2, claiming that Carl, 41, was the one who allegedly fabricated their past hook up, which was brought back to light on the In the City premiere last month.
Danielle explained to Us that she “wanted support” from Carl after Lindsay, 39, called her out for allegedly giving him “a hand job in the back of an Uber” one week after Carl and Lindsay split for the first time in 2019. (Lindsay and Carl reconnected in 2021, but broke up for good in August 2023 after being engaged one year.)
“He’s like, ‘Well, you know, there was some fooling around, like, in the back seat,’” Danielle recalled of her recent chat with Carl about the incident. “In my head, I’m like, ‘Eighth graders do more on a dance floor.’”

Danielle, who is pregnant with her first baby, noted that Carl did eventually express remorse over her having to deal with the drama so many years after the alleged hookup.
“He’s like, ‘It’s crazy that you even have to clear it up, and I’m happy for you and your pregnancy,’” she told Us of the Soft Bar founder’s remarks. “He’s like so far past it, and he wants to have everything be good with Lindsay, and I understand that.”
Danielle added that Carl is “happy to be friends” with Lindsay again, which she “can totally see.” However, she admitted she hates “being wrong in that way for no good reason.”
During the In the City premiere, which aired on May 19, Lindsay outlined the laundry list of reasons to be upset with one-time BFF Danielle, including her alleged coziness with Carl.
Lindsay claimed that after she and Carl tried to date during 2019’s season 4 of Summer House, Danielle swooped in and got handsy with him.
“[It] didn’t work out. He breaks up with me. One week later, she’s giving him a hand job in the back of an Uber,” Lindsay alleged.

She doubled down on the accusation during a chat with Summer House costar and longtime friend Kyle Cooke later that same episode.
“Carl and I got engaged, she had a freak out,” Lindsay recalled. “Before Carl and I got engaged, she gave him a hand job in the back of an Uber a week after we broke up. That’s f***ing weird.”
Danielle, for her part, denied the allegations after the episode aired via her Instagram Story.
“Just in case this isn’t actually cleared up later on, it was a lie then, it’s a lie now,” she wrote on May 20.
Lindsay, however, insisted she was telling the truth, writing on her own Instagram Story, “Rewatch season 4 and call me later,” alongside an eggplant and a hand emoji.
Lindsay and Danielle addressed the drama on Tuesday’s episode of In the City — and seemingly squashed it — but for Danielle, it was surprising to see how long Lindsay had held onto that alleged wrong.
“I didn’t know that she had brought it to Kyle so early on, like, the Carl thing, and I was like, ‘That was never an issue in our friendship before.’ So that was just a surprise to me,” Danielle told Us after watching the first two episodes back. “I was truly shocked that there was a list, I didn’t think that our friendship had come to having to write all of that down.”

Danielle — who has had ups and downs with Lindsay since they met on Summer House in 2017 — confessed that it was “actually crazy” to see the Uber rumor become such a big deal.
“If it was on her mind, genuinely, I’m glad that we can clear that up and move on,” she shared, noting that it if was a big deal to Lindsay she wished they’d talked about it “a lot more then.”
Danielle revealed, “I just don’t want it to come across that I’m like this s***y friend or a floozy in the back seat of a goddamn Uber.”
While Danielle is aware she can’t un-ring the bell, she told Us that her friendship with Lindsay is on the mend.
“I think that we’re OK. I think we’re good, not great,” Danielle said, noting that as she’s watching In the City it’s giving her some clarity.
She shared, “I think that there’s nothing that we can’t sort of get past, and I just hope that maybe moving forward she can start to see me as not someone who has bad intentions when I speak.”
Danielle is hopeful that Lindsay will one day give her the “benefit of the doubt again” since they have such a long history together.
“I hate that we’re in a spot where I do have to watch what I say a bit more just to make sure that it’s not taken the wrong way,” she confessed. “But I think there’s hope for us yet.”
In the City airs on Bravo Tuesdays at 9 p.m. ET.
