D.J., Uncle Jesse and … Comet? Full House fans are freaking out over the Tanner family's adorable pup — who should be in dog heaven by now. A golden retriever that looks exactly like the original series' four-legged star Comet appears in Netflix's new Fuller House trailer.

Comet took walks around San Francisco and cuddled up to Michelle Tanner back when Full House aired, from 1987 to 1995. In the new sneak peek, the furry animal waits patiently for D.J. (Candace Cameron Bure), Uncle Jesse (John Stamos), Uncle Joey (Dave Coulier) and other returning favorites to open the door.

Needless to say, the scene caught viewers off guard. "Susan just started crying because she realized comet from full house is dead," one Twitter commenter wrote on Thursday. A second joked: "What happened 2 original Comet in #FullHouse? Did he die? When? How? Is the new dog n #FullerHouse Comet's son? Is he a Jr or a bastard pup?"

Other Tanner fans, meanwhile, appeared to google Comet right after watching the teaser. Their findings? Many were blown away that the dog that played the original Comet was the one that starred in 1997's Air Bud.

"Air Bud was also Comet on Full House. Sorry for ruining your childhood," one tweeter wrote. Another added: "Comet from Full House is the same dog as Buddy from Air Bud. That girl that spends 4 hours on Google is the same person as me."

Fuller House debuts on Netflix on February 26.
