The Golden Bachelor’s Peg Munson hinted that Dancing With the Stars viewers may see her competing in the ballroom in the near future.
“I did do an interview with [producer and casting director] Deena Katz with Dancing With the Stars. I did interview with her a couple of months ago,” Peg, 63, revealed on the Thursday, July 9, episode of the “She’s All Bach” podcast. “I believe they’ve already cast for this season but we had an email and I just checked in with her, and I sent her a little clip of me dancing, and she was very, pleasantly surprised with the clip, and said she will definitely consider me for sure for next season.”
She added, “I’m an ex-dancer and that’s really the only thing about this whole experience that I would really love to do. Because I dance for my soul. I dance with my heart. I think I would give all those young’uns a run for their money, man. Go boomers!”
Us Weekly has reached out to ABC for comment.
Later in her podcast interview, Munson — who accepted a promise ring from Mel Owens in the Golden Bachelor season 2 finale — addressed the timeline of being approached for DWTS.
“I think way back, right when we finished filming, they approached you. Then you had a conversation, then it went dormant for a little bit,” Mel, 67, pointed out to his partner.
“Right, something like that,” Peg agreed. “I would love to do that.”
Peg reiterated that any talks about Dancing With the Stars would be for season 36 in 2027 “unless somebody breaks a leg, or something, and they have a spot.”
“I’m open, you never knew,” she teased.

Thus far, Dancing With the Stars has announced four celebrity contestants for season 35. The dancing competition has already lined up Summer House’s Ciara Miller and The Traitors fan favorite Maura Higgins for the fall, as well as Jimmy Kimmel Live! sidekick Guillermo Rodriguez and Savannah Bananas player Jackson Olson.
The full DWTS season 35 cast and their professional partners will be unveiled on ABC’s Good Morning America on September 2.
One celebrity that fans can probably count out of ever competing for the Mirrorball Trophy is Full House alum John Stamos, who has repeatedly refused to take part despite being courted by producers “every single season.”
“I said, ‘Don’t ever ask me again,’” Stamos, 62, told host Bobby Bones on the Tuesday, July 7, episode of “The Bobbycast” podcast. “I’m never gonna do that show.”
He added, “I just never … What makes that show good is people suffering and looking like fools. They’re breaking their feet, calluses … I don’t want that.”
Dancing With the Stars returns on ABC this fall.
