The end of April is coming up fast, and HBO Max subscribers are running out of time to catch some of the departing films.

That said, there’s still a chance to watch some of the movies if you start making your viewing plans now.

The Watch With Us team is offering you a hand by sharing our picks for the four HBO Max movies you need to watch before they leave on May 1.

Our selections for the month include a mind-bending thriller, a relationship drama, a dark comedy and a superhero flick for the ages.

Christopher Nolan movies started becoming events unto themselves with Inception, which features a stacked cast of performers led by Leonardo DiCaprio. In this world, Dom Cobb (DiCaprio) is one of the few who can successfully infiltrate the dreams of his target and steal their secrets.

Dom’s latest client, Saito (Ken Watanabe), wants more than just a dream heist. In return for clearing Dom’s name, he and his team have to enter the mind of corporate heir Robert Fischer (Cillian Murphy) and make him think it’s his own idea to break up the company. Dom knows that inception is possible, and the apparition of his late wife, Mal (Marion Cotillard), will do anything to sabotage his plans because of what happened the last time he tried it.

Inception is streaming on HBO Max through April 30.

Celine Song made her directorial debut with Past Lives, a gripping love story that unfolds over the course of nearly 25 years. As children, Nora Moon (Seung Ah Moon) and Jung Hae Sung (Seung Min Yim) experienced a deep connection that led to romantic feelings between them. But life got in the way of their bond.

In the present, Nora (Greta Lee) and Jung (Teo Yoo) reunite after she’s already fallen in love with another man, Arthur Zaturansky (John Magaro). That makes for some uncomfortable tension between this trio, as Nora feels the pangs of what could have been.

Past Lives is streaming on HBO Max through April 30.

Two decades ago, Little Miss Sunshine was an unexpected hit and an Oscar-nominated film for Best Picture and Best Supporting Actress for Abigail Breslin. The late Alan Arkin ended up winning Best Supporting Actor for his turn as Grandpa. Breslin plays Olive, the young daughter of Richard (Greg Kinnear) and Sheryl (Toni Collette).

When Olive has an opportunity to enter a child pageant in California, Richard and Sheryl take her, Grandpa and their other troubled family members, Dwayne (Paul Dano) and Frank (Steve Carell), on a stressful road trip in a van that’s constantly falling apart and malfunctioning along the way.

Little Miss Sunshine is streaming on HBO Max through April 30.

At the time of its release, Spider-Man 2 was widely regarded as one of the best superhero movies ever made. Time has somewhat dulled that sentiment, but it’s still a pretty fantastic film. Following the events of Spider-Man, Peter Parker (Tobey Maguire) is largely estranged from the woman he loves, Mary Jane Watson (Kirsten Dunst). Peter’s best friend, Harry Osborn (James Franco), is also angry because he blames Spider-Man for the death of his father.

Dr. Otto Octavius (Alfred Molina) is the wild card in the mix. Once he’s driven insane and becomes Dr. Octopus, Peter has to once again rise up and face an enemy he may not be able to defeat.

Spider-Man 2 is streaming on HBO Max through April 30.
