Steve Carell
One of America’s most popular comics, the Office star was born in August 1962 in Concord, Mass.
He made his film debut in 1991’s Curly Sue. During the 1990s he was writing for The Dana Carvey Show, then he had a stint as one of correspondents on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart. Carrell appeared in three sitcoms before landing the part of Michael Scott on NBC’s The Office.
Playing the role of the quirky boss who isn’t afraid to hold anything back, Carrell used his new found success to get roles in hit films including The 40-Year-Old Virgin, Little Miss Sunshine, Evan Almighty and Get Smart.
In July 2010, Carell announced the 2010-2011 season of the NBC hit comedy would be his last.
