Get ready for more teen mama drama! Kailyn Lowry, Jenelle Evans, Leah Messer and Chelsea Houska are back for another exciting round of Teen Mom 2. The explosive trailer for season 8 of MTV’s popular reality show dropped Monday, November 28.
As seen in the clip above, the young mothers are experiencing new beginnings both good and bad. Lowry, 24, is in the midst of divorcing husband Javi Marroquin. In one particularly heated scene, the Pride Over Pity author — who announced the couple’s split back in May — bluntly tells Marroquin why she is calling it quits.
“We’re getting divorced, period, point blank!” Lowry explains. “It’s not like we were this happy couple.”
Later on, Marroquin airs his grievances with Lowry and implies that she cheated on him. “Have you ever thought about anyone else? You don’t think about me, you don’t think about your two boys. You can open your legs to someone else!” he fumes. “That’s not a big f–king deal?”
Evans, 24, is facing difficult times as well. She is entrenched in a legal battle with her mom, Barbara Evans, over custody of her 7-year-old son, Jace. (Jenelle forfeited custodial rights to Barbara in 2009.) In the preview, the 16 & Pregnant alum tells her mother that she will no longer film with her, given Barbara’s refusal to hand back custody.
“You don’t want to give me my son back, so I don’t want to film with you ever again in your f–king life,” she says, to which Barbara threatens: “If I [keep] custody [of Jace], then you will have limited visitation!”
Aside from her fight for custody, Jenelle — who is also mom of son Kaiser, 2, with ex Nathan Griffith — is concealing a third pregnancy with current beau David Eason. Though she insists to producers that she isn’t expecting, a later scene shows Eason rubbing Jenelle’s growing baby bump. Back in August, she announced via Instagram that the couple will welcome a baby girl, who they have already named Ensley, in January.
While Messer, 24, continues to fight for the health of her 6-year-old daughter, Ali (who suffers from a rare form of muscular dystrophy), she is also entertaining the thought of jumping back into the dating pool. “Does Mommy need a boyfriend?” she asks her 2-year-old daughter Adalynn, who she shares with second ex-husband Jeremy Calvert.
“Yes!” Adalynn enthusiastically responds.
For her part, Houska, 25 — who announced in November via social media that she is expecting a baby boy this February — is over the moon about expanding her family with husband Cole DeBoer. “You’re gonna be a big sister!” the South Dakota native excitedly tells her 7-year-old daughter, Aubree, who she shares with ex Adam Lind.
Speaking of Lind, Houska reveals that she and the fitness enthusiast still struggle to coparent and laments that he forgot to wish Aubree a happy birthday. “Like, not even a phone call,” she sighs.
