Everything to Know About Peacock’s ‘Love Island USA’ Season 4: Premiere Date, Filming Location, More

Welcome back, Islanders! Summer is in full swing, and come July, Love Island USA will heat up the reality TV scene with new faces — and sexier challenges. After three seasons on CBS, the American version of the U.K.’s Love Island was acquired by NBC. Moving to the network’s streaming site, Peacock, will also bring more freedom for the Islanders better mirror the saucy (and somewhat explicit) nature of the original dating show. “Love Island is a highly addictive dating format that is primed for a streaming service like Peacock where we can push boundaries and bring viewers steamy and dramatic twists,” executive vice president of unscripted entertainment content Jenny Groom said in a February press release. “The series took pop culture by storm after the U.K. format found fans across the world, and we are thrilled to be able to bring an all-new version to Peacock this summer.” Peacock has greenlit the show for seasons 4 and 5, teasing episodes and couples that are “hotter than ever." [jwplayer dWRPspu7-zhNYySv2] Love Island USA previously touched upon the naughtier content during season 3, which aired in summer of 2021, sharing raunchier clips on Paramount+ that didn’t make the cut for CBS. “For Paramount+, you’re going to get some extra steam,” longtime host Arielle Vandenberg exclusively told Us Weekly in June 2021 ahead of the season premiere. “So if there’s something that we couldn’t show on the broadcast, it will be on Paramount+. So there’s lots of fun, new, exciting things to check out on there as well.” Only time will tell if the for the reality series' new home — and uncensored content — will make for long-lasting couples. The premise, however, has remained the same. Starting next month, viewers will follow a group of singles as they look for love while living together in a villa. Week after week, they will make alliances and compete in steamy challenges all in the name of love and money — a $100,000 prize is on the line. While the viewers will vote for the top couple, it will be up to the finale two Islanders to decide whether to share the money, break off their relationship, or try and keep the prize to themselves. Who Is Hosting?

Vandenberg has helmed the show since its 2019 start, however, she will not emcee the new season. Modern Family alum Sarah Hyland confirmed she booked the gig in June 2022.

“I got a text!!!! And it’s a juicy one! I can’t wait to be your new host of @loveislandusa,” Hyland — whose fiancé, Wells Adams, serves as the bartender on Bachelor in Paradise — wrote via Instagram.

Are Things Getting Hotter?

After moving from CBS to Peacock, Love Island USA bosses have promised a much steamier — and unfiltered — show. The change of network will match the “explicit nature of the show,” per the official Love Island Twitter account.

The new season will be “steamier” with “naughtier games and sexier challenges,” according to a June 8 press release.

Who Is the New Voiceover Personality?

Iain Stirling, who is the original narrator for the British version, was announced as the new voiceover star on June 15. “The moment the decision was made to bring an all-new version of Love Island to Peacock, we knew we had to get Iain on board,” NBCUniversal said in a statement. “Iain embodies everything fans love about the show — humor, irreverence and cheeky fun. Love Island would not be the same without him.”

Where Is It Filming?

Peacock is shooting season 4 somewhere on the coast of California. While it isn’t a literal island like the location of season 3, which took place in Ninole, Hawaii, the new season will have the same beachy vibes.

How Can Fans Get Involved?

Viewers will be able to save Islanders from being dumped from the villa. Fans can also vote for their favorite couples, tempt established couples to stray and pick the winning pair in the finale.

Is There a Trailer?

Peacock debuted its first teaser in June 2022 featuring narration from Sterling, who proclaimed “it’s going to be a wild ride,” as an array of contestants danced in pairs.

Who Are the Contestants?

Peacock announced the first round of Islanders on July 11. Deborah “Deb” Chubb, Zeta Morrison, Courtney Boerner, Sydney Paight and Sereniti Springs are five of the women who will be in the villa this summer. Deb, 26, likes a man who “loves his mom,” according to her show bio, while Sereniti, 28, identified her romance “green flag” is a man who is “family oriented.”

What Are the Cast Members Looking for?

The Peacock series released its cast interviews on July 13, 2022, via YouTube, revealing what the contestants are searching for upon their villa entrance.

“I am super confident coming into Love Island that I'm going to find my person,” Andy Voyen explained during a confessional. “But I normally am the heartbreaker and I don't want to break any more hearts.”
