There’s nothing we love more than Earth Day and celebrating this annual event with support for environmental protection. So of course, we can’t help but love Allbirds’ approach this year! In honor of this year’s Earth Day, Allbirds is releasing a brand-new, limited-edition sneaker every single day leading up to the holiday. That’s right, they’re releasing five different sneakers, every single day.
The only thing better than all five options? Five options that also happen to be celebrity-approved, of course! A-list stars like Sarah Jessica Parker to Mila Kunis are all major fans of this super sustainable shoe, so it’s a true no-brainer. Go ahead and slip into any (or every) one of these sustainable, stylish and comfortable sneakers this holiday.
In honor of this year’s Earth Day, Allbirds is paying homage to climate-endangered birds by partnering with the Audubon Society. Together, the brand and charity have curated and created a collection of limited-edition shoes that are inspired by all of our planet’s climate-endangered birds. From April 15th leading up to Earth Day on April 22nd, Allbirds will be releasing five limited-edition signature styles reflective of all of the climate-endangered birds. And that’s not even the best part! All of the proceeds that are raised will go directly to the Audubon Society to aid in their efforts when looking to protect all of those climate-endangered birds.
The only thing better than this concept? All five of the sneakers thought up to support this concept, of course!
The Women’s Tree Runner Painted Redstart is the first silhouette to be released. It officially kicks off the week-long festivities for Allbirds Earth Day’s celebration. Much to our liking, this limited-edition tree runner was named after the Painted Redstart bird and was designed to resemble one, too. The carefully crafted sneaker’s silhouette highly reflects the small songbirds and features a dark base similar to the bird as well as a hint of bright red and white patches throughout.
The sneaker is crafted from magical eucalyptus tree fiber, which is highly-breathable, silky smooth and complete with a cooling effect that will keep things light and breezy. This latest shoe demonstrates just how comfy Allbirds are to wear. After all, they haven’t been dubbed the “world’s most comfortable shoe” for nothing. Is there anything better? Certainly, we don’t think so!
The fun doesn’t end with this painted restart sneaker because it continues on all week long, too! Allbirds will continue releasing sneakers each day inspired by all of the climate-endangered birds around the world. From pygmy nuthatch, mountain bluebird, Allen’s hummingbird and even the scarlet tanager, there will be a sneaker in support for each. To see the complete list on what’s coming and when it’s arriving please see the following schedule below:
4/15 – Tree Runner Painted Redstart
4/16 – Wool Runner Pygmy Nuthatch
4/17 – Wool Runner Mountain Bluebird
4/18 – Tree Runner Allen’s Hummingbird
4/19 – Wool Runner Scarlet Tanager
So when looking for the sleekest silhouette this spring that is not only on-trend but trending in support of a good cause, any of the Allbirds limited-edition sneakers to support the Audubon Society have our vote. After all, what’s better than slipping into a silhouette that doesn’t only look good on our feet but is doing good in the process? Honestly, nothing can even compete if asking Us!
