We’ve been looking a little pale lately. Usually, we’re ones to embrace our skin tone, but there’s a difference between pale and pasty, and we’re unfortunately seeing the latter in the mirror. A natural, sun-kissed glow would be nice, but the sun’s kisses usually turn to damaging burns within a couple of hours, and it’s not quite beach weather right now anyway. Instead of freezing our feet off sunbathing in the cold, we have the perfect product to achieve that gold-bronze shimmer we’re after.

Just as how Sol de Janeiro’s famous Bum Bum Cream is famous for its heavenly smell, this glow oil is also scented to impress. It has a “fragrant blend of pistachio and salted caramel,” which sounds like a dreamy ice cream flavor to Us! Three scoops, please.
This body oil claims to not only deliver a bronze tint with a golden shimmer, but it also claims to nourish and soften our skin! It made with lightweight oils, keeping in mind that heavier oils tend to feel sticky, heavy and greasy, not absorbing well. It features cupuaçu butter as a key ingredient, which is “the Amazon’s alternative to shea butter.” It may help to lock moisture into our skin and restore its elasticity!
Another softening key ingredient is coconut oil, a favorite do-it-all oil for many skincare products. It’s been popular in Brazil for centuries, and may condition our skin, providing moisture to keep it supple.
Rounding out the key ingredients is açai oil. Açai has made its name as a super-fruit, its antioxidant properties claiming to keep our skin healthy and youthful. This oil may penetrate the skin, delivering “luscious hydration and antioxidants.”
This glow oil claims to be so nourishing that we should actually skip the body lotion altogether when we plan on wearing it! Clean, bare skin is recommended for better application, anyway. To use, we can pour the oil directly from the bottle into our hand. Start off with just a little, as a little goes a long way. Blend into skin, applying evenly throughout.

If we want to use this glow oil on our face, we can use it alone as a “liquid illuminator,” applying it as we would a highlighter. We can also mix it in with our foundation, giving us an allover glow.
Don’t think of this body oil as body glitter. It’s not about sparkling. It’s all about a subtle shimmer that reflects light as it hits our skin. Think of this as an everyday accessory, not stage makeup for a dance recital or Broadway production. The “undeniable glow” may look like it’s actually risen from inside of us!
This glow oil already sounds like paradise in a bottle, but there are a few bonuses as well. It’s totally vegan, cruelty-free and gluten-free, sulfate-free and paraben-free! We freely admit to caring about visual results, but the health of our skin comes first on our list of priorities, so this is refreshing. Another bonus? The bronzy-gold bottle is seriously adorable.
We love a product that suits various skin tones and this oil has got us all covered. We all deserve radiant, touchably-soft skin, after all. It’s just tinted enough to make every day seem like summer in Rio, but shouldn’t leave us looking like we accidentally spilled our morning coffee all over ourselves on our commute.
It’s pretty clear that this body oil is no ordinary self-tanner. We’re not sure what we’re more excited for, putting it on or smelling that luxurious scent. Luckily, we can do both at once!
