The Edie Shoulder Bag 28 from Coach is taking our daily style to new heights. It’s slouchy, it’s soft and it’s sophisticated. Coach’s famous polished pebble leather creates subtle shine and texture, while metallic hardware adds a sweet little sparkle. With this bag, every day equals every yay!

Shoppers are huge fans of this find, with one saying they are “totally in love” with their new bag. Another described the Edie as “nicely constructed,” taking note of the high quality and lavish materials, while yet another called it “simple but perfect.” That’s exactly what we were going for! Multiple shoppers commented on how spacious it is, even though it’s a relatively small bag. One said they can even store their laptop in it, while another listed all of the essentials they keep in theirs, along with “snacks and a petite water bottle with ease.” It’s not often that a bag this chicly petite can hold so much!
This bag has two top handles which are made to be carried in our hands or on the crook of our arm. If we’re looking for a hands-free approach to style, that’s not a problem. Just clip on the detachable strap, which has a 22-inch drop for shoulder or crossbody wear. Since this bag is on the smaller side, at least on the outside, no one will blink an eye if we wear it as a crossbody. They’ll be too busy staring enviously to blink!
If we want to change up the strap situation even more, we can completely change the one that comes with the Edie for another! This bag is totally compatible with any of Coach’s interchangeable straps. We can purchase a different color, different material or even one with embellishments! We can always go back to the original, too. It’s nice to have options.
This bag also features a leather tag keyring with an embossed Coach logo, as well as a small logo in the lower center of the bag in metallic hardware, which is gold or silver depending on the shade of bag we choose.
This Edie bag is secured with a dog leash clip and/or a snap. These closures help the bag maintain its gorgeous slouch while still keeping our belongings protected. Speaking of belongings, we can keep those inside the spacious main compartment, which is lined with fabric, or in one of the interior pockets!

This bag is currently available in three colors, all of which can be neutral in their own way, even when adding a potential pop. Beechwood/Light Gold is the truest neutral, its champagne-beige color sure to match with shades of brown, black and every color on the lighter side of the spectrum, too. The hardware is gold-tone, which was the perfect choice to complement the Beechwood.
The next color is Slate/Silver, a turquoise blue with touches of sky. It may feel louder, but this color truly looks good with everything. It also works for every season, the blue simultaneously reminding us of the ocean and the coolness of snow. The hardware on this shade is silver-tone!
Our other “neutral” with silver-tone hardware is Blossom/Silver, a ballet-slipper pink. This pink is pale enough that we’re considering it a nude, able to adapt to any outfit with ease. It’s not too pale, though. Wear it with other neutrals or darker colors and suddenly it’s a statement piece!
Don’t forget that we can also monogram our Edie bag at no cost on Coach’s site. Yes, please! Add letters, graphics or even a little sparkle. To add another extra flourish, we can also choose to accessorize with bag charms or scarves. We think we’re going to start with a floral scarf!
The Edie bag is said to “combine downtown ease with utility,” and we got that vibe at first glance, only for it to grow stronger as we learned more. There’s nothing like achieving downtown ease with actual, effortless ease!
