Dads. What do we think about when we think about dads? Bad jokes, beards, barbecues and, sadly, lack of style. That’s because dads are often less about fashion and more about comfort when it comes to getting dressed every day. We can certainly appreciate that, but we know that it’s possible to have the best of both worlds, and that’s why we’re getting our dads Allbirds for Father’s Day!
The Allbirds Men’s Tree Runners are a summery version of the world’s most comfortable shoe, perfect for gifting in the middle of June! They’re lightweight, they’re breezy and they’re actually really cool, both literally and figuratively. Even A-listers like Matthew McConaughey, who was photographed wearing a green pair of Allbirds just last year, are huge fans!

Shoppers have collectively left near-perfect reviews for these sneakers, saying they “exceeded expectations” in every way. One questioned how something “so comfortable’ could also be “so stylish,” while another commented on how when they wear their Tree Runners, they “forget [they] have shoes on [their] feet!” So many people are buying multiple pairs of these sneakers, since they come in so many colors, and no one wants to miss out on the limited-edition versions!
Allbirds shoes are known for being environmentally-friendly, and these sneakers are no exception. The upper is a proprietary mesh knit, made with naturally-derived and renewable eucalyptus tree fiber, hence where the Tree Runners got their name. This upper is not only sustainable, but breathable and soft, producing a cooling effect as we walk!
These sneakers also have recycled laces made from plastic bottles, inspired by a nautical style. As for the insole, it features castor bean oil, which claims to “cut carbon output when compared to petroleum-based foam!”
This padded insole is also lined with Allbirds’ famous merino wool, which is super soft, but won’t leave feet sweaty. It’s actually moisture-wicking and made to reduce odor, so Dad can even wear these shoes without socks!

The sole of these sneakers is made of a low-density foam to keep men light on their feet, while also adding extra cushion and shock absorption. The S-curve tread array is “designed to mimic the anatomical flexibility of your feet and give you natural weight distribution as you stroll,” which is a scientifically fun fact that feels even better than it sounds!
These sneakers are available in 11 colors: three classics and eight limited editions. For the classics, we have Kauri Marine Blue, a deep navy, Charcoal, a dark grey and Chalk, which is a crisp white. As for the limited-edition options, there are shades of blue, green orange, brown, red and even pink! We’re sure to find at least one that fits Dad’s style in seconds!
Something else Dad will love about these Tree Runners? The fact that they’re machine washable! Easy to wear, easy to clean — and, because they’re mesh, easy to dry! These shoes are made to last a long time, even when worn every day.
Reviewers have rated this sneaker as true to size, without a doubt, landing right in the middle of the scale, so we can trust that we’ll find the right size for Dad even without him trying them on first. Not a bad Father’s Day gift for under $100, right? It might actually be the best ever!
