When it comes to shopping for footwear we love, there are a few requirements a shoe must meet before we consider it for our closets. Our shoes have to be stylish, affordably priced and cute enough to justify splurging on them. Most importantly, they have to be comfortable. We are over footwear that looks great but collects dust in our closets because of how badly they hurt our feet. Instead, we’re on a mission to find shoes we actually enjoy wearing.
Our shoe rules also apply to rain boots! Many keep our socks from getting soggy, are easy to clean and are even great for street style. Still, not all of them emphasize comfort as much as we’d like.
Luckily, we spotted rain boots by Hunter, a brand beloved and often worn by celebrities we love like Duchess Meghan, Kate Moss and Rihanna. The Hunter Original Refined Chelsea Rain Booties are made with natural latex rubber and have a quick-dry lining for added comfort. The short heel with a grippy sole for traction helps Us dodge the puddles and foot pain. For a comfortable wear experience, they also have a cushy footbed with a removable insole.

An ankle-length shaft and pull-on silhouette make this rain bootie a style we can easily slip in and out of. The boots are available in sizes ranging from 5 to 11 and come in three colors: black, navy and oxblood. Only whole sizes are available so Nordstrom recommends shoppers who wear half sizes to order the next size up for the best fit.
The downside to many traditional rain boots is that they are often clunky and don’t always flatter the rest of our ensemble. With a minimal yet trendy design, this ankle bootie is also a great shoe to wear on rainy days without compromising our personal style. We can substitute the black or dark navy blue versions for our regular black ankle boots without them throwing off the entire look.

These are boots we can wear when it rains, but also when it’s super cold and we still want to pull off a really cute winter outfit.
