This bag is made of a coated leather with a little bit of shine to it, but we’re not talking patent leather here. It’s just a very understated extra aspect. The tote has a structured shape that forms almost a perfect square, its length only half an inch larger than its width. A bag this spacious is perfect for commuters, able to fit a planner, tablet, water bottle, book and all of our daily must-haves!
This bag is also great for transitioning into different activities throughout the day and night. We can carry an extra pair of shoes in it for when we’re headed in or out of the gym, and it has more than enough space to fit our entire makeup routine (which, let’s be honest, is a lot of products). Might as well stick our skincare in there too, especially if we’re going to be breaking a sweat!
This bag has an open top for easy access, and inside we’ll find a large center zip compartment, with a gold or silver zipper, depending on which color bag we choose. This means we actually have three separate compartments for storing our things, since the zip one separates the two sides of the tote!
Also on the inside we’ll find a lining which is black with white lettering, featuring a motion blur effect. The letters are all jumbled up, but we can put them together to spell out “Marc Jacobs”! So cute.
Back on the outside of the tote, we can look toward the top to find a small, metallic Marc Jacobs logo. No, this time the designer’s name is not jumbled up! We’ll find it in its classic, all-capitalized font, instead.
This tote has double top handles with a nine-inch drop. This means we can wear it over our shoulder if we want to, letting the bottom hit around our hip. We definitely prefer to do this if we’re in a crowded area like a commuter train car or concert. It’s also great for if we ever need our hands totally free. There is topstitching all along the handles, which continues down the length of the bag itself for a streamlined design.
This Marc Jacobs bag is currently available in three colors, and yes, they’re all a part of this 49% off sale! First we have black, a shade we don’t think anyone will have too much trouble imagining. The zipper and hardware logo on this version is brassy-gold-toned.
We also have rose, which features the same color hardware. The leather itself, though, is a light pink. A little floral, a little peachy. It’s not pale, but it’s not bright or loud either, so it’s a great shade for an everyday bag that won’t clash with our outfits!
Lastly is storm grey. As we imagined, it reminds us of the color of a cloud right before rain begins to pour, just as we start to feel a chill in the air. It’s grey, but it has light blue tones to it. The hardware features on this bag, however, are actually silver-toned, which matches the stormy sky aesthetic perfectly! They’re like little lightning bolts, but less scary.
Right now, we’re feeling the storm grey, but we’re already thinking of an outfit to match the rose tomorrow and we can never go wrong with a black bag so. . . we might need a little help. Should we just get all three?
