When we look in the mirror after doing our makeup in the morning, we bedazzle ourselves. Sometimes we even briefly consider a career as a makeup artist! We’re feeling good about ourselves in every way. By the time we get to work and pop in the restroom, however, it’s like a veil has been lifted off our eyes — and our entire face. Suddenly our foundation is either smudged and creasing all over our face, or it’s nowhere to be found, like we never even put it on!

What a waste of time, right? That’s why we need a foundation that doesn’t require a touchup every hour on the dot. That’s why we need the Estée Lauder Double Wear Stay-in-Place Makeup! Supermodel Joan Smalls is a huge fan of this foundation, and her forever-flawless skin shows us why!

Smalls demonstrated how she likes to use this foundation as part of her party prep beauty routine in a video for Estée Lauder a few years ago. After using a PowerFoil mask and concealing, it was foundation time, but not in the traditional sense. She actually used the shade Rich Ginger as a bronzer!

“I’m going to contour with a darker foundation,” Smalls said. “You want to make sure you’re extra still and extra focused,” she joked, though somewhat seriously, continuing, “This is the most important part.” Makeup requires concentration!

She then began to apply the foundation to the sides of her nose with an angled brush, explaining that “it’s kind of like painting.” She then moved on to the hollows of her cheeks, mentioning that she sometimes carries it upward “to the hairline” and demonstrating the process. “It has like this effect of like, brightness and then like, dark and warm,” she said, motioning with her hands to try and explain the full, radiant effect! She then even applied a bit of foundation to her eyelids to prep them before moving on to eyeshadow!

This foundation has a huge shade range, available right now in 50 different nudes! It has medium-to-full coverage, depending on how much we build it up. It’s oil-free, claiming to leave a matte finish for a smooth, shine-free complexion. This finish should also be transfer-resistant, claiming a full 24 hours of staying power without smudging or rubbing off!

This foundation is made to withstand heat and humidity, so no matter the weather conditions, our skin may stay evened out with visibly reduced pores with no imperfections, blemishes or dark spots in sight. It claims to be waterproof, so we’ll even bet set in the rain!

This foundation is nice and lightweight, but it claims that its color will stay true all throughout the day and night, even noting that it “won’t look grey on deeper skin tones.”

This Stay-in-Place Makeup is paraben-free, fragrance-free, non-comedogenic and clean, making it a great choice for sensitive or acne-prone skin. It’s dermatologist-tested, too!

To use this foundation, we can use a brush like Smalls, or we can try using a blending sponge or just our fingertips! Apply a little to the center of face and blend outward, adding more if we want fuller coverage. After that, we just wait for everyone to tell us how clear our skin looks!
