This Estée Lauder essence is either the best place to start if we’ve never tried an essence before, or the best one to switch to if our current one isn’t quite cutting it. A bestseller in Japan, this essence-in-lotion may seem like a miracle when it first touches our skin! The thought of putting “lotion” on your face grossing you out? This isn’t a typical body lotion; it has a watery, non-sticky texture that’s made to absorb quickly to reveal a youthful, “angelic” complexion!
This Micro Essence claims to energize, revitalize, activate and even strengthen skin. It’s not just a temporary layer of glow, it’s a true glow-getter, and it’s glowing deep. It’s infused with a concentration of Micro-Nutrient Bio-Ferment to nourish skin far past the surface so our radiance comes from the inside out. Wondering how exactly to use an essence? We’ve got you. If we’re on the oilier side, it helps to use a cotton pad. After toning, pour the essence onto the pad and glide it gently across your face, moving in an upward and outward motion, being careful not to press down. Just glide!

If we have drier skin, we can use our hands, pouring five to six drops into one and rubbing both together. Press palms to skin, again, moving outward and upward. Once almost everything has absorbed, rub hands together to generate warmth and hold palms against face for a few seconds so everything properly sets. Now follow up with any serums and moisturizers!
This essence-in-lotion claims to be ideal for all skin types, even sensitive. It’s free of fragrances, sulfates, parabens, acnegenic and comedogenic ingredients, and has been dermatologist-tested, so we shouldn’t have to worry about any reactions! Just soft, supple skin.
