A lot has changed for Sophie Turner‘s character Sansa Stark on Game of Thrones. No spoilers here, but the strong and powerful Lady of Winterfell is definitely different in season eight than she was in the early days of the hit HBO show.
Something we will spill the details on, though? Her beauty routine! Turner recently dished about how much she loves this ultra-lightweight moisturizer, but unlike her GoT character who has definitely evolved, she’s been using this cult-favorite product for a long time now!
The Boscia Cactus Water Moisturizer is so lightweight but manages to provide extremely deep hydration for softer, smoother skin. Turner just professed her love for this incredible formula, calling it her “trusty” moisturizer during a recent interview with Allure. She also noted to New Beauty in January that she always travels with this moisturizer because her “skin gets so flaky and dehydrated.” We imagine Winterfell could be the culprit.
But it’s not the first time the 23-year-old has gushed over this cactus-infused moisturizer. In 2018, Turner told Elle that she “found this amazing Boscia Cactus Water Moisturizer,” noting how she loves that “it’s light and doesn’t feel like it’s clogging up any pores.”
The Game of Thrones star also dished that she particularly loves how “thin” it is, how it “feels like silk on the skin” and is so affordable! “It’s only, like, 40 bucks,” she told Elite Daily. “It’s so thin, so you can put your makeup on top of it and it won’t move around and get weird.”
In fact, I use the Boscia Cactus Water Moisturizer this way, too! I have extremely oily skin and this is the one moisturizer that I can actually wear with makeup and not look shiny by mid-day. The formula feels almost like a gel and immediately soaks into the skin — a miraculous feat for someone prone to oil! — while feeling so natural. The only reason I ever notice I am even wearing it is because of how smooth my skin appears.
So what’s in this magic formula that has Turner and Us so smitten? Hydrating ingredients like “Queen of the Night” cactus succulent and aloe vera give all skin types much-needed moisture. Aloe vera has anti-inflammatory and soothing benefits (particularly helpful for those with dry or sensitive skin) while the cactus succulent can rejuvenate and nourish while helping the skin rebound from dehydration. There’s also a South African resurrection plant infusion to help reduce redness and a complex of peptides to help stimulate the skin’s repair process. Boscia says it’s “a moisturizer fit for a queen” — or perhaps even fit for the hopeful Queen of the North in Westeros?
While the formula is very technical, the application process is not! Simply apply to clean skin and let it work its magic! Pro tip: Keep this in the refrigerator — or even your mini skincare fridge! — for a refreshing, extra cooling sensation.
Sophie Turner and I aren’t the only fans of this Cactus Water Moisturizer either! Shoppers of all skin types are falling for this formula, too. Reviewers all agreed how light it feels, unlike moisturizers that often leave us feeling tacky afterward, and that it absorbs quickly. Others love how it smells and feels so refreshing while providing a healthy, natural glow. A little bit of this goes a long way so shoppers were extra impressed at what a great investment this moisturizer is, especially since it’s ideal for all seasons and climates.
Perhaps this is the secret to how Sansa Stark survives the bitter cold of Winterfell!
