The Nordstrom Half-Yearly Sale is still happening which means there is still time to update our wardrobes in preparation for the new year. We’re especially taking advantage of the markdowns on timeless wardrobe staples including sweaters, jackets, shoes and so many more must-have designs. While statement pieces will always catch our eye, it’s those minimal staple pieces that help Us put an outfit together quickly and effortlessly time and time again.
One of the essential designs we’re tossing into our carts from the sale is the Perfect Roll Tab Tunic. The blouse is available in three beautiful colors and perfect for wearing in any season.

This tunic is an easy slip-on design thanks to the deep split-neck and loose, swingy fit. The top also features a chest pocket that’s more for style than actual storage and sleeves that we adore since they can be worn up or down by buttoning the roll tab. The fabric is semi-sheer, so we’ll layer the blouse on top of a lace camisole to complete the look.
The tunic also has a subtle yet trendy high-low hemline and we love that it’s long enough to comfortably wear with leggings or skinny jeans.
The tunic is available in select sizes based on the colors available which are Spruce Yellow, Dust Rose and Deep Teal. According to Nordstrom and reviews from shoppers, this top runs large so it’s best to carefully eye the size guide and order one size down for the best fit.
Since rich, warm shades are the declared colors for 2019, the Perfect Roll Tab Sleeve Tunic in the Spruce Yellow shade is a great way to update our wardrobes with a trendy hue and a simple silhouette. We’ll be tucking the top into a pair of brown flared corduroy pants, layering it with a black velvet blazer and slipping into black leather mules for a look that’s comfortable and appropriate for professional settings.
The Dust Rose version of this tunic will match well with so many of our nude hues. We can slip it into a leopard print pencil knit skirt and wear it with a matching light pink blazer or oversized cardigan. To complete the look, we can step into a pair of pointed toe nude or black pumps.
Our favorite color of the three is this deep teal hue! To play with jewel tones, we will wear this teal tunic with a pair of dark navy velvet flared pants, metallic pumps and a jacquard cross-body bag. For a simpler look, we could slip into a pair of cozy leggings and slip-on sneakers.
The tunic will also look great paired with our everyday blue skinny jeans and our favorite cozy Ugg boots whenever we’re running errands or just hanging out with friends.
When the warmer months arrive, we can wear the tunic with a mix of different Bermuda shorts, miniskirts and cutoff shorts. We could also tuck this top into a flowing pleated maxiskirt and finish the look with ballet flats and a suede bucket bag.
