NBC’s Seinfeld was created by Larry David and Jerry Seinfeld. The series aired for nine seasons from 1989 to 1998 and stars Seinfeld as a fictionalized version of himself along with his best friend George Costanza (Jason Alexander), former girlfriend Elaine Benes (Julia Louis-Dreyfus) and neighbor Cosmo Kramer (Michael Richards).

Set in the Upper West Side of Manhattan, the sitcom focuses on the minutiae of daily life in New York City.

Seinfeld earned a Golden Globe Award in 1994 for Best Television Series – Musical or Comedy, with the eponymous creator and Dreyfus winning for their performances the same year. The sitcom won 10 Emmy Awards in total. Richards won the Emmy for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series in 1993, 1994 and 1997, while Dreyfus won Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series in 1996.
